Former mayor to become Russian president`s plenipotentiary
Kazan, November 15 - As the former administration chief of the Kazan city Khamil Iskhakov informed it was unexpected suggestion to become Russian president`s representative in the Far Eastern Federal District.
In the interview given to Tatarstan journalists on returning his native republic Iskhakov said: "New appointment on the one hand provokes excitement, because there is possibility to use my experience in the new area, to help the country, to support the president. But on another hand I feel sad because my whole life is connected with Kazan."
As Iskhakov informed the Vladimir Putin suggested the new post on Sunday during the meeting - "we elaborated on this question, underlined all pros and cons". The official appointment happened on Sunday.
Next Saturday the new representative will fly to Far-East federal region where he intends to meet the former plenipotentiary Konstantin Pulikovsky to obtain region`s documents, later on Iskhakov will go around the region.
